Redfin & Spout: Perfect Combination

So my new hobby is posting real estate listings from Redfin as screenshots on Spout, which is basically an anonymous location-based app. People really like the local info. Great update too!

Crap

Doesnt refresh when you update criteria. They need to fix the bug asap, its annoying.

All the features I need

I was using other apps while looking for a home and this app far exceeds all the other realtor apps. Way to go Redfin! My house hunting heart thanks you!

Needs Improvement

Redfin is pretty average for a RE app. Chief complaint is that it doesnt stay open long enough when you go to another app or do a google search. Also get annoyed when the "add a note" section is buggy and you cant read what youre typing, as youre typing it. It should also include more than just a "favorites" list. How about a list where you can put homes that youre undecided about, homes that are overpriced, under value, etc. Redfin needs to move beyond the basics.

Good, not great

In iOS, needs a way to copy address easily without fighting app. I then take the copied address to look at the house in maps.google. Also needs a way to copy address for giving to my spouse two look at. Otherwise great.

New update does not work

It has been a week since it started downloading from the App Store and it is still not done.

Needs More Map Options

The app is good but right now it doesnt have the satellite map view. This would give a better look at the neighborhood. All the other apps have it, why not this one??

Useful for just looking

Not as useful as the personalized MLS list my realtor sends but fun for looking. I do wish they would fix the bug that keeps asking me to save a search I already have saved! So annoying!

Update broke app-app,is now worthless

Update may 2016-new update is not filtering correctly. No matter what I roots showing sold houses along with the rest. List is so long its unmanageable. Checked all settings, tried Changing but still showing all sold houses. The best photos of property available but limited filtering (next open house, miles from point x). April 2014 update- app update broke the app. Unable to pull up pics, unable to pull up settings, unable to adjust filters. App worthless

Terms of Use

When I use the app for a long time, Im always prompted with a pop up "terms of use" window that basically locks me out from everything. The only way I have found to close this window is to shut down and restart the app all together. Ive also used a Redfin agent before and the guy was an absolute joke. He lied to me about emailing the disclosure information and said he would resend it.. Never did though. After several follow ups, and stating perfectly clear that I wanted to put an offer in on a place, he complete ignored me. Otherwise the app is good.

Works great

Everything I need to browse through any kind of home is on this app! Never had any problems. Love it

I used this app

It was the best programm untill it was update. After that it stop to work. In other words, it absolutely doesnt work now. Please, fix the problem.

Estimate feature ruins usability

The new estimate feature clutters the screen with useless opinions irrelevant to a search. Views of homes and neighborhoods are obscured by all the boxes with numbers appearing over every property. In response to a query about how to turn estimates off, the help desk said it cant be turned off. Why?

Mostly great

Very useful, easy and timely. Very annoying though that I get nagged to enable location services to search for homes near me EVERY. TIME. I open the app. How many people are browsing homes right next door to where they already live? And how much of your house-hunting do you do from home? I did most of mine from there. Maybe I do things differently than everyone else, but I believe the people searching for homes for sale on the as they drive around in a neighborhood happens less often than searching at home, so please stop trying to force us to turn on location services. Make it an option, great - but getting nagged every time is realllllllllllllly annoying.

Great!

Lots of fun to look at homes I cant afford.

My Go-to R/E app

I really do like this app. Its very user friendly, has great content and provides several ways to review real time information. I especially like the ability to review both homes for sale and homes that have sold. Great information on both and easy to find and review.

Easy to use and up-to-date info!

The ease of use on this app is amazing! Up-to-date information, easy to schedule tours, and great agents to work with! Highly recommend!

Favorite real estate app

My wife and I are looking to buy our first home and Redfin is our preferred app to search for and view new listings in our area. We prefer Redfin for many reasons but the most important being that it provides more useful statistics for each listing than other real estate sites weve tried as well as the feature that automatically shares favorited homes with anyone you choose. The filter that allows you narrow your search results by lot size is another reason I prefer this app over others.

Great app ahead of other realty apps

New listings come sometimes days ahead of other realty apps. Easy to use.

So much great info

We are thinking about moving to another neighborhood in the next couple of years and this app provides so much more than the website I had been using. The search options are fantastic.
